Romeo and Juliet

Friar Lawrence  says  “these violent delights have violent ends”. He’s saying that this amount of passion is going to lead to a violent end. The families’ hate between them is going to lead to death and blood on both sides. Shakespeare wrote the paragraph to build up the tension of the death of Romeo and Juliet.

Near the end friar Lawrence thinks of an idea that Juliet should take a potion. He said this whilst Juliet is threatening to kill her self. The idea was to drink the potion to make Juliet look like she is dead.Romeo did not get the message and when he heard Juliet was dead then he went and got poison from an apothecary.then he goes to the tomb of  Juliet he kissed her on the lips then he drank the poison. Then Juliet woke up and saw Romeo as he died on the floor. then Juliet shoot herself.

This is an example of fate because none of this would have happened if Friar Lawrence’ letter had gone through.

“And in their triumph die like fire and powder, which as they kiss consume. The sweetest honey is loathsome ihides own deliciousness, And in the taste confounds the appetite. Therefore love moderately, long love doth doth so; too swift arrives as tardy as too slow.”

George, you should be proud that you’ve been able to construct this over the last three days. Can I show it to Ms Turner?

You are now ready to move on to a new question.
